about

History

Kyle Dykes was born and raised in Killeen, Texas where he grew up on a small ranch. He became interested in auctioneering at a young age, for he often attended cattle sales with his grandfather and always tried to imitate the intriguing cattle rattle on the way home. In 2011, just after his freshman year at Texas a&m, Kyle graduated from the Texas auction academy in Dallas, Texas. In June of 2013, Kyle won the Texas state champion rookie auctioneer title at the annual Texas Auctioneers Association convention. After graduating from Texas A&M University in December of 2013 with a bachelor of science in animal science, Kyle was able to combine his love for both the cattle business and the auction industry by working as the commercial marketing coordinator for the International Brangus Breeders Association. While working for the IBBA, Kyle also worked to grow his auction business, Kyle Dykes Auctions, LLC. In October of 2016, Kyle became a full time auctioneer and currently works weekly auto auctions across the state of Texas. In addition to auto auctions, Kyle enjoys working and conducting a wide variety of sales, including estate sales, livestock auctions, benefits, and consignment sales, to name a few. Kyle also recently earned his real estate license and is excited to combine his love for the auction industry with his heightening interest in real estate.

In May of 2017, Kyle was named the Texas State champion auctioneer at the Texas Auctioneers Association’s 60th annual convention. Earning the state champion title has been a long time goal of Kyle’s and he is truly honored to be among such an elite group of men and women. Titles aside, Kyle is most excited to represent the Texas Auctioneers Association throughout the upcoming year and in the many years to come. Although still seeking to learn and grow, Kyle tributes his success to the relationships he’s built with his TAA colleagues and will constantly strive to help young auctioneers and to give back to the association.

Kyle currently resides in Fort Worth, Texas. With plans to get married in July of this year, Kyle and his fiancé Emily are settling into the DFW area. They plan on becoming more heavily involved in local city affairs and generating an active business that is dedicated to providing great customer service with outstanding results. His bride to be currently works in healthcare administration at Methodist Health System in Mansfield, where she is dedicated to improving the quality and efficiency with which patients are treated each and every day. Ultimately they are both in the customer service industry and have a passion for doing the best job possible to help those around them.
